Students can declare a minor in gender, race, sexuality and social justice upon completing 27 credits of coursework.

Up to 6 credits may be double counted between a minor and your major.
Program Requirements
30 credits are required for the GRSJ major, subject to the following program requirements:
- GRSJ 101, 102 (6 credits)
- 6 credits from 200-level GRSJ courses or ANTH 213
*GRSJ 224 and GRSJ 250 can be repeated for a max of 6 credits.
- 6 credits from GRSJ 325, 326, 327, 328
- 12 credits from 300-level GRSJ courses or above, or from courses eligible for credit toward a major:
- GRSJ 300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 310, 311, 315, 316, 320, 350*
- GRSJ 401, 410, 415, 425*, 450*
- CSIS 300; CSIS 301, CSIS 450
*GRSJ 350, 425 and 450 can be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits.
GRSJ 450 is a Directed Studies course open to 3rd and 4th year GRSJ majors and minors and students working with GRSJ faculty. For more information and to apply to the course, please visit the Directed Studies Application.
Courses from other departments may be eligible and approved for credit toward a minor. Please consult the Undergraduate Academic Advisor. A syllabus is required for this process.
