Farah Shroff Receives DIVERSEcity Award of Impact



Congratulations to GRSJ Faculty Associate Dr. Farah Shroff who has received a DIVERSEcity Award of Impact in the Gender Equity category in recognition for her work in women’s health.

Nominator Mabel Mathews had this to say about Shroff’s contributions:

“Dr. Shroff’s remarkable contributions reflect her deep commitment to addressing gender equity from an intersectional perspective, blending innovative strategies with practical solutions to tackle systemic challenges. As a Canadian public health leader and the founder of Maternal and Infant Health Canada, she has been instrumental in addressing critical issues affecting women and children.”

The awards celebrate inspiring changemakers and role models with 10 individual award categories. The categories are: 1. Youth Leadership, 2. Food Justice Advocate, 3. Strengthening Safety, 4. Inspiring Seniors, 5. Community Changemaker, 6. Gender Equity, 7. Humanitarian Heart Award, 8. Reconciliation in Action Award, 9.  Empowering Employer Award  10. Newcomer Champion Award.
