Research
My research looks at how transnational gatherings of Indigenous Women across Abya Yala and Turtle Island, foster resistance and mobilization against colonial violence, weave new transnational frameworks of relationality and create new pathways to theories and practice of decolonial solidarity. Two research questions guide my inquiry: 1) How are transnational relationships amongst Indigenous women collectives woven and sustained? 2) How have the interactions between Indigenous women in Canada, Colombia and Mexico impacted each other’s work, vision, and worldviews in their resistance to colonial violence?
