Wajiha Mehdi, GRSJ PhD Candidate, receives IDRC Doctoral Research Award 2020



Wajiha Mehdi, PhD candidate at GRSJ has been selected as one of the recipients of IDRC Doctoral Research Award, 2020. IDRC awards are intended to promote the capacity of graduate students to conduct research that is aimed at addressing development and social issues in developing countries. The annual award of $20,000 will cover the costs of field research conducted for doctoral dissertation in countries of Global South. Additionally, Wajiha is also the recipient of Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, 2019. The award of $50,000 per year for three years during doctoral studies is in recognition of academic excellence, research potential and leadership.
