GRSJ Professor Becki Ross was interviewed in the Georgia Straight remembering the legacy of community activist Jamie Lee Hamilton. Dr. Ross and Jamie Lee Hamilton were long-time friends and comrades before Jamie Lee’s death from cancer at age 64. An advisory body with the City of Vancouver approved adding her name as one of the choices to designate a civic asset in the future and will be reserved for a yet to be identified place in the Downtown Eastside.
