Inequities and inequalities of health are important to feminists, as they highlight overarching power differences in society and the world as a whole. An intersectional approach to studies of health emphasizes how attributes such as gender, sexuality, race, religion, social class, and migration or citizenship status combine to affect a person’s health care and access to health-related resources and care.
