The UBC Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice invites applications from interested parties to be considered for the Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.
Procedure:
Applicants identify and contact a potential supervisor in the department, complete the application package in consultation with supervisor, and submit the application package to GRSJ (grsj.programsassistant@ubc.ca). An internal adjudication will take place and the department will forward one application to the university-wide competition. From there, UBC will select a shortlist of institutional finalists, whose applications will be submitted to the national competition.
Deadline: The internal department deadline for the application is Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 9:00am.
The ‘Letter of Support from the Proposed UBC Supervisor’ is not required, unless the candidate has been selected to be nominated to the UBC competition by the Graduate Advisory Committee.
The number of new awards offered each year presently varies between four and six.
Annual Value: $60,000 annual stipend for a maximum of two years.
Award Status: Open
