West End Sex Work Memorial Project

West End Sex Work Memorial Project Public Meeting

Join the West End Sex Work Memorial Committee to learn about their plans to commemorate an important chapter of West End history.  In partnership with the City of Vancouver, the West End Sex Work Memorial Committee is moving forward with a Community Meeting to discuss the installation of a lamppost and plaque at the corner of Jervis and Pendrell Streets, near St. Paul’s Anglican Church. A panel of experiential workers, all of whom once lived and worked in the West End in the 1970s and 1980s, will share stories of their community formation, and the implications of the mass eviction. Moderated by Dr. Becki Ross.
